about the photographer (me)

I will try not to bore anyone too much...

I would have to say the my life started to change at around 2000! To make a long boring story short... I was living in New Zealand where I met a man... he was not a nice man, drug addict, alcoholic... you get the picture... I was a witch he was a warlock... Anyway... I was in my lounge room one day doing the usual housework when God stepped into my little world and changed everything. I started seeking to know more about Him. Which lead me to leaving said man and becoming a single mother! Talked with several psychologists just to make sure that I had made the right decision for my child!...

I moved in with my mother, gave birth to my daughter (Exavier) and things got weird! I liked Metallica... Exavier would not sleep in my room if I was playing any of my music yet she would sleep in the lounge where mum had her music (christian) so I decided to play christian music in my room and Exavier would sleep!

The radio station we listened to had preachers on at all times of the day and night and I found myself listening! Ended up changing my life, getting rid of my ideas and becoming a christian! Great!

Finally moved back to Australia when Exavier was 8 months old! Joined a youth group and got to know some really great people!

Then it happened... Exavier was teething... normal thing for a child to do... but as hard as I tried I could not get her temperature down! She went lathargic and couldn't stand up... she was rushed to hospital! The Drs tried so very hard to work out what was wrong. She was sent to Marter Childrens hospital Brisbane... She didn't come home. She was 2years 4months and 1 day old.

Exavier was the one who first inspired me into potography... trying to capture all her wonderful expressions! And her cheeky times like climbing into the hand basin to paint herself with toothpaste and call it face paint!!

After she died I didn't really do much. Hardly slept. Hardly ate.

A little over a year later I married a wonderful man and about a year later our Onjahlika arrived in the world... then about 10 days after her first birthday I had a miscarriage!

Today is Exaviers 8th birthday. And I sit here looking at my camera wishing I had all three of my children with me for a huge party and many photos!

I can only guess at what is around the corner for us, but as God keeps reminding me... He has it all in hand!
