Man it's cold out there... just been out to take some photos of the ice crystals on the glass! For about the next 5 weeks we get the heavy frosts... I've already seen two plants in the lizard garden die! But then again - whatever cant tolerate frosts isn't worth having in these parts! (Unless it is a macadamia nut tree!)
I have managed to get the temperature in side up 2 degrees... it is now 11! My toes are still cold! Such a contrast from yesterday morning at 18! I am very glad we have the fire going - because without it we probably would have been very close to having a frost inside the house! Not a good thing when I have some plants inside that are not large enough to tolerate frost!
I am not really looking forward to work today... just too cold! Then again - being a clear day, the frost in most places will have melted by lunch time, and the sun is out and at the moment there is no freezing wind! Should get warm! I have to go and get ready for work!
