rescued lizard

Oreo was barking like mad thing is the back yard today... I ignored him... should have gone out earlier! Because when I did go out to see what the dog was carrying on about I found him circling this lizard like a hungry shark...

Worst of all... Oreo had blood on his chin... there was blood on the grass (not much - but enough to know a fight of some kind happened) and this poor blue tongue has three puncture holes in it.

I picked the lizard up and placed it in the garden between some large-ish clumps of carnations, prayed for it to be healed and live, and I also placed a small dish of water in it's reach!

I've been out and checked on it a couple of times, it's changed it's position twice but is still hiding where I put it! Hopefully Oreo hasn't decided to follow his mothers lead and kill lizards...
