small bird

It seems that this mornings post is a little late. With good reason!! After my walk, I came home was about to sit down and post the photo when I heard the typical chatter of cocatoos. I looked up and had to stop what I was doing because there in front of my eyes were black cocatoos sitting in the neighbours tree. So I grabbed my camera and started shooting. For 15 minutes I had the pleasure of 5 black cocatoos posing, screeching, chattering and chasing away other birds!! They have now settled in a pine tree in another neighbours yard!

So, back the the subject of todays photo. This little one is considerably smaller than the cocatoos. And I'm not particularly knowledgable on bird names!! All I know of this bird is it is small and was in a flock of others of its kind on the side of the road!
