more photos! And Oreo was, well, Oreo!
The day started out overcast and very cold! Nothing unusual for a winter morning in the mountains! As the day wore on the clouds lifted and the sun came out... then the clouds returned andit got cold again... but then the sun came back! Made it a little difficult for photos - but I am learning how to deal with that so not a worry! It's all part of the challenge of being a photographer who wants to focus on landscapes! Ya have to take whatever the weather throws at you! Which I am not yet completely ready for! Still need a few things!
Still - I aint complaining - it all made for pretty photos and a wet dog! Onjahlika even got to enjoy some rock throwing! She likes to change the flow of the creeks one pebble at a time! I wasn't too keen on getting my feet wet! Mountain water is very cold! So I took Oreo for a walk along the mostly dry edges! He splashed his toes! That was about all he wanted to do!
I have this habit of looking at the scenery as we drive past it! Good thing I am not the one doing the driving!!
I noticed on a hill - a nice amount of "rocks"... they were in fact a lot of sheep!
At least the sheep around here aren't red dusty! There is a place where we used to go camping and the sheep there blend in to the scenery so well that if you go 4wd driving thru the paddocks you need to be very careful! I was looking at a "rock" one day wondering about it's texture when it got up and walked away! Seriously - it was the same color as the dirt! So we called them brown moving rocks!
I still had fun with the camera none the less! And I even tried to try one image with a panoramic photo in mind... I'm not entirely sure it worked out right... I will have to have a close look at it later! This one is not the one I was thinking of turning pano - yet... maybe... it might work! I guess this is another one I will have to have a closer look at! Although I think that to do a pano justice I need an wide angle lens
or a telephoto lens
!! I'll give it a go anyway... cant hurt to try!
We drove past an old house... seriously neglected! This is the kind of house that Gavy would love to do some metal detecting around... Problem is - he doesn't know the owners!
I so like how the roads in this country dip down so minor creeks can flood them whenever there is a heavy shower of rain! It makes country drives more interesting and the water actually helps the dust stick to the car so much better! :) The surrounding area is dry and brown and the road dry and dusty - yet somehow there is a puddle in the middle of the road!
It's bath time for Onjahlika... and I've been told to wait here! She can be very forceful when she wants to be!
When we arrived at our destination (Moredun Creek and Limestone Creek junction) we were greeted with lots of water! The water over the road wasn't that deep - safe enough to drive thru!
Very pretty!
Obviously there has been some rain somewhere!
I couldn't help notice that one creeks water was milky-ish and the other was clearer! And from what I could see the only time the two creeks mixed water was when it went over the road!

I am now going to get myself my morning hot chocolate! While it is still morning!
Thank you!
